A bow thruster repair was completed by Retech last week. This bow thruster was removed during a dock repair of a ship. The work was done by order of Metilo Maritime Ltd. - Cyprus as that company has been actively participating in the repair control. The bow thruster was delivered by truck to Bulgaria. After the complete disassembly and defect supervision, a new hypoid gearing was changed (vertical and horizontal shaft); as well as all actions on a capital repair of the hydraulic (CPP) and mechanic part were made. After the repair, the bow thruster was transported to a port designated by the shipowner, mounted within 48 hours and the ship continued its trip.
